By now we've all seen the "This Is Fine" meme, in which a cartoon dog sits inside a burning room, calmly ignoring the flames as he assures himself that everything's OK.
The comic officially became a meme way back in 2014, when it was first uploaded to Reddit and Imgur. It apparently struck a nerve with readers, as people began posting it all over the interwebs to illustrate how they felt about the sad and terrifying state of our world.
The comic was drawn by KC Green, and was part of his long-running online series titled Gunshow (which is no longer being updated).
What most people don't realize is that there was originally much more to the comic, as it's actually a six panel strip!
While it's fun to see the comic in its entirety, I gotta say— the extra panels really don't offer much of anything new. In fact they're pretty much just repeats of the first two! In fact I think the comic actually works better in its edited form (sorry, KC!). Our minds are more than able to fill in the rest, and even though it's fun to see the dog's face melt Raiders Of The Lost Ark style, it really isn't necessary.
Ah, but what do I know? This is fine.
